Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Management and Organizations - Part-Time

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applications for a part-time (approximately 50%) Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in our Management and Organizations Area, intended for placement in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, with start date of July 2019. Applicants should have research and teaching interests related to management, leadership, or entrepreneurship, with a background in organizational behavior or a related field.
The primary teaching required for this position will include:
Introduction to Management: This course is required of the Undergraduate Business Minor students at Cornell, and provides an overview of key topics in Management. It is taught in large lecture format.
Management Simulation: This course is taught to a variety of audiences across our programs, and gives students both exposure to strategic decisions in running a business, and to group dynamics and managing teams as they work through the simulation.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior or a related field, and have several years of teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three Schools. The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the School of Hotel Administration (Hotel School). Faculty members in the Management and Organizations Area conduct research on diverse topics using a variety of research methods. This faculty position is based in Ithaca, NY. Most teaching will take place at the Ithaca campus, with the potential for some teaching at the Cornell Tech or Weill Cornell Medical College campuses in New York City.
