The Eli Broad College of Business’ Department of Management is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-system faculty position (assistant professor) beginning in August 2020 in the area of Strategic Management. https://broad.msu.edu/management/
The ideal candidate should be terminally qualified in a relevant area of scholarship by August, 2020, and have primary research and teaching expertise in strategic management with a secondary interest in either entrepreneurship, consulting, or corporate social responsibility.
Teaching responsibilities will consist of undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of strategy and one of the secondary areas mentioned above. Applicants should be capable of teaching and working with students from diverse backgrounds, including international students. Applicants should be able to demonstrate ability as a classroom instructor through summarized peer and/or student evaluations and/or explicit commentary in letters of recommendation.
Research responsibilities will include working with PhD students to develop research capabilities and maintaining an ongoing research program contributing to continued national scholarly prominence.
We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our current group strategic management faculty (He Gao, Gerry McNamara, Kevin Miceli, Kent Miller, Jamal Shamsie, Guy Shani, Bob Wiseman) and our organizational behavior and human resource management faculty (Georgia Chao, Don Conlon, Lance, Ferris, Nick Hays, John Hollenbeck, Russ Johnson, Christy Zhou Koval, Frederick Morgeson, Brent Scott, John Wagner) through their research, teaching and service. Collaboration opportunities also exist with faculty in other departments on campus.
