The Department invites applications for the above positions. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Entrepreneurship: Innovation and Creativity, Business Idea Generation, Startups and New Ventures, Global Entrepreneurship, Business Plan Development, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Startup Culture, and Organization or other areas related to entrepreneurship
Management: Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour, Strategic Management, Research Methods
Applicants must hold, or expect to hold, a Ph.D. degree. Applicants for Research Assistant Professorship should have good potential in research and teaching. Applicants for Chair Professorship / Professorship / Associate Professorship / Assistant Professorship should be able to demonstrate commitment to excellence in research and teaching and be willing to work collaboratively with colleagues. Evidence of the ability to publish in top-tier journals is required. Interviews may be arranged in the coming Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Vancouver, Canada (7-11 August 2020) and/or in the HKBU campus in Hong Kong at a later stage.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing September 2021 or the earliest available date. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Appointment of Assistant Professor or above will be made on a tenure-track basis. Outstanding candidates at Associate Professor or above rank may be considered for tenure on appointment.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
