Management Position (Assistant/Associate Professor Tenure-Track Position)
The Department of Management and Information Systems in the College of Business at Mississippi State University invites applications for an assistant/associate tenure-track position in Management (OB/HR) to start August 2021. Responsibilities include scholarly research, teaching, and service. Research expectations are consistent with those of an AACSB-accredited, doctoral-degree granting College of Business. A normal teaching load is six credit hours per semester. Candidates will be expected to teach Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and/or Principles of Management. Finally, candidates should have a commitment to appropriate levels of service within the department, college, and university.
Appointment Date: Fall 2021
Candidates should either have a PhD in Management or a closely related field or be ABD with evidence that they will complete their program before the August 2021 start date.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to do quality research leading to publications in top Management journals.
Candidates should demonstrate an ability for and commitment to quality teaching.
Candidates should have the ability to teach Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and/or Principles of Management.
Experience teaching entrepreneurship will be considered favorably but is not a requirement.
Previous research in family business and/or OB entrepreneurship will be considered favorably but is not a requirement.
Previous experience in a tenure-track position will be considered favorably but is not a requirement.

Together, they provide faculty with unique research, funding, and outreach opportunities.
