Gender and Diversity in Organizations, Organization Behavior, Organization Development and Change
NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY'S Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change (MSLOC) program invites applicants for a non-tenure track faculty appointment in Learning and Organizational Change at the assistant professor level. We seek a scholar-practitioner who will serve as a faculty member in the department and leader of our Leading Equity and Inclusion in Organizations Certificate (LEIOC) and related curriculum. This requires expertise in talent management and organizational effectiveness, as well as justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in organizations. Possible areas of focus might include: measuring employee engagement, culture, and change (including social network analysis); agility and evidence-based approaches to change management; cross-cultural leadership and competencies; or, other areas relevant to next-generation organizational development and design justice
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a related field (e.g., I-O psychology, organizational behavior, organizational development, sociology, etc.) and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. Applicants should have applicable experience as a practitioner and prior teaching and/or facilitation experience. Applicable practitioner experience examples include, but are not limited to, human capital or management consulting, talent management, organizational change, and DEI leadership.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop a program of scholarly research in addition to serving as a faculty member and LEIOC leader. MSLOC courses are taught on evenings and weekends, utilizing a range of technologies to engage students during and between class meetings. Our faculty also are expected to play a substantive role in the MSLOC program by assisting with program strategic planning, curriculum design, student advising, adjunct faculty development, and by actively engaging with students and alumni in our community. Successful applicants will be extraordinary teachers and mentors. They will bring not only deep knowledge of learning and organizational change, but also passion in their desire to convey that knowledge to our students in the classroom (whether that be in-person, hybrid, and online) by creating environments that motivate students to engage, collaborate, learn, and apply their learning to their careers and for the benefit of our society.

Most of our students are employed by corporations and consulting firms, specializing in organizational development and effectiveness, change management, talent management, and other human-centric roles.
