The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business invites applicants for postdoctoral scholar positions as part of the school’s Program for Faculty Diversity. A global institution in the heart of Los Angeles, the Marshall School of Business is a thriving scholarly community that is enriched by members’ diverse sociocultural identities, perspectives, and experiences. The Program for Faculty Diversity has been created to continue in this tradition by attracting and supporting a wide range of brilliant scholars and educators from diverse backgrounds whose research emphasis, life experience, and/or employment background can significantly contribute to academic excellence at USC Marshall. The program provides postdoctoral scholars with faculty mentoring, professional development, and academic networking opportunities. The positions involve independent research and/or opportunities for research collaboration with Marshall faculty and limited teaching. Additional research funds will be provided. The postdoctoral appointment will begin August 2021 and is renewable for a second year, assuming performance at or above expectation. This position is expected to operate from USC's University Park Campus in Los Angeles outside of the current requirement for remote work due to COVID-19.

We seek applicants from a range of disciplines and who demonstrate the potential to thrive and the critical perspective that comes from their non-traditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of groups historically underrepresented in higher education. Candidates should have earned their Ph.D. before the position starts. The Ph.D. degree must come from a school other than Marshall. Applicants will be evaluated based on their prior academic accomplishments, the significance and intellectual merit of their research interests, and their potential contribution to building a culturally diverse community at Marshall.
